HHLA has created an easy-to-use dry spot testing kit. Lab-in-an-Envelope^® contains all the necessary collection supplies and easy to-follow instructions. The dry spot is then put into a pre-addressed diagnostic envelope and mailed from the patient's home to our lab.

Lab-In-An-Envelope™ - Hemoglobin A1c
A Hemoglobin A1c test tells you what your average blood glucose level was over the past 3 months, yet it requires only a single drop of blood, collected at any time of day. A1c testing is being used routinely all around the world to help people with insulin-dependent (type I) diabetes and non-insulin-dependent (type II) diabetes manage their disease.

HHLA has developed an easy to collect microalbumin test. This procedure can be mailed to the patient’s home with simple easy to use directions. MicroAlbumin tests for the presence of small amounts of albumin, a protein found in the urine. High levels of microalbumin are an early sign of kidney damage, or nephropathy, a common and serious complication of diabetes.
