In 2003 the company introduced Lab-in-an-Envelope^®. This product is designed to allow patients to collect their own specimens, in the privacy of their own homes, and send them directly to HHLA via U.S. mail. The current primary utilization is the diabetic patient needing A1c or microalbumin testing.

WHY HHLA? Many of the nation’s largest home healthcare providers are experiencing cost and time saving efficiencies with HHLA. By eliminating the need to immediately centrifuge blood, nurses are able to efficiently move from one patient’s home to the next, simply dropping the specimens off at a FedEx drop-site at the end of the day.
